University of Reading - Full-time Digital Communications Co-ordinator
I’m a first-class Film & Television graduate from the University of Reading, with a strong foundation in storytelling, video production, and audience-led content creation. This creative background underpins my approach to digital marketing, allowing me to produce content that is both visually engaging and strategically effective.
I currently work as a Digital Communications Coordinator within the Marketing & Campaigns team at the University of Reading. After completing my placement year with the University, I was rehired into a permanent role before graduating, reflecting the impact and value of my contribution to the team.
In my role, I lead on a variety of digital marketing projects, from developing Postgraduate advertising campaign assets to delivering targeted international campaigns with clear, results-driven calls to action. I’ve worked closely with external agency HunterLodge to produce high-quality ad content, and I’ve managed campaigns promoting initiatives such as the Masters Excellence Scholarship and Early Clearing. Collectively, these campaigns have reached millions of users worldwide.
A core focus of my work is growing and engaging social media audiences while showcasing the University’s diverse international community. I specialise in short-form video, creating Instagram and Facebook Reels across Meta platforms, as well as producing a series of long-form podcast-style videos for the University’s main YouTube channel. This content gives prospective students authentic insight into real student experiences, no matter where they are in the world.
Alongside this, I collaborate with central marketing teams to adapt and share content on the University’s main TikTok account, helping to extend reach, diversify audiences, and strengthen brand presence across emerging platforms.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
University of Reading - Professional Placement Year
Between July 2023-24, I worked on a placement year as the Digital Communications Coordinator for the Global Recruitment Team at the University of Reading.
During this period, I had the opportunity to explore and develop my skills as an aspiring filmmaker and editor by creating informative content for prospective students across the world. I have created content for the official UoR YouTube channel as well as the international page on Instagram and Facebook. Many of my videos have been featured in newsletters and university updates, recieved and viewed by thousands.
Checkendon CofE Primary School - Volunteering
In spring of 2023, I volunteered to work with the Headteacher of Checkendon CofE Primary School to create a welcome video, showcasing her institution. Here I had the chance to work with staff and young students, coordinating a film highlighting the values and selling points of the school. Sarah, the headteacher, was greatly appreciative of my help.

Youth in Mind Berkshire Conference - Work Experience
During May-June of 2022, I undertook a one month opportunity as a filmmaker and editor for Mind in Berkshire. My role was to attend the charity conference, located at The Globe, Reading, to collect video clips and content. I later edited this content together and this was used as the official video for advertising the 2023 conference.
